The Roman Touch is a new upmarket tiling and mosaic company based in East Anglia. They came to Honest for a logo that represented the high standards of service and craftsmanship that the Romans were famous for. The mark had to be authoritative, a symbol of quality and appeal to the desired upmarket target audience.
Honest went back to the history books in search of Roman leaders, the people that built this great empire, the people that established such high levels of service and quality, and looked at what they used to represent their status. i.e clothing, jewellery and head dress.
A confident mark taken from the head dress of a Roman leader. A symbol that is easily recognisable as ‘Roman’, and a piece of typography that compliments this and lends itself to the shape.
