Marshalls is a well-established brand found in garden centres across the country. We needed to attract a new and younger audience, it needed to be brought up-to-date. The company owned two other brands, ‘Unwins’ and ‘Birds and bees’, and it was decided that these should both go under the Marshall’s brand.
We created a brand mark that felt modern and inkeeping with the garden theme, we chose a typeface with a botanical feel to give a feel of quality and elegant. This became the benchmark for the other brand. The colour palette was a subtle grey with an accent of green in a subtle leaf-shape. We created the strapline, ‘Grow with us’, which was rolled-out across social media as a call to action to join the Marshalls community. This new brand identity was rolled-out across a new website, brochures and all their packaging.
